Thankfulness

Well, I made it to Thursday!
Jason has been gone this week.
I miss him terribly!
I feel a cold coming on which is just really inconvenient for me.
I just have way too much going on right now to be sick!
Like a three day weekend!!
I know all you teachers can relate.
And to the none teachers who are rolling their eyes right now
because you know we just got back from a 3 week vacation:
Being in a room of 32 nine and ten year olds that are trying to find their place in this world and having the weight of their academic success (i.e. test scores) on my shoulders is extremely exhausting!!

Anywho, today I want to spend time reflecting on something I'm thankful for.
It was pretty easy for me today.

I am thankful for my dad!

Thankful for his:

love of God,
love for family,
wisdom,
guidance,
gift of leadership,
help
(example: leaving dinner across town to come jumpstart my dead car),
sense of humor,
laughter
(to the point he's crying at random times),
sensitivity
(we have moments in our family),
caring,
concern for others,
kind words,
encouragement,
life by example,
support,
tradition
(a special gift and message on the last day of school)
messages typed on labels with key words highlighted,
self defense moves
(look out bad guys, I will take you down!),
summer vacations
(I've been to 11 in states in two weeks, have you?),
this could just keep going on...

My dad is a great, no an awesome man!

What are you thankful this Thursday evening?

Finding the blessings,
Denise
